Reservation Baleària’s staff members, both on board and on land, are available to people with reduced mobility (people lacking some mobility and not self-sufficient, with visual or auditory incapacity, elderly people, pregnant women etc.) to help to access the ferry and during the crossing. Baleària advises passengers with reduced mobility to mention it both when making the reservation and when checking in, so that they can provide the most appropriate help and inform them about the services available on the ferry in which they are going to travel. Both Baleària’s land staff and on board staff are pleased to help people in these circumstances, always keeping in mind that the ferry is a method of transport subject to certain safety measures that must be complied with. Boarding and accommodation Depending on the ferry and the line, boarding may take place before or after the other passengers. In the latter case, passengers with reduced mobility and their companions can wait in the waiting room until the Baleària staff tells them that they can board. In addition, the Baleària staff will offer help to people with reduced mobility to access the ferry and move their luggage. Once on board, if the disabled passenger wants to make the crossing in his/her wheelchair, a crewmember will tell them the most suitable place to put it. Otherwise, they will be helped to get comfortable in a seat if necessary.
