Discount for residency in the Balearic or Ceuta

This is a discount on the rates of the regular maritime transport services, awarded by the Spanish State, which is applied to Spanish citizens, and to those from the rest of the EU states and the other states signatories of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which prove residency in the Balearic Islands or in Ceuta.
Baleària applies the discount for current residents of the Balearics both to inter-island crossings and to crossings between the Balearics and the Mainland, while the discount for residents of Ceuta is applied to crossings between Ceuta and the Mainland.

Discounts for residency:
  • Mainland-Balearics: 50%
  • Mainland-Ceuta: 50%
  • Inter-island: 50%
  • Ibiza-Formentera (residents on Formentera): 89%
  • Crossings with origin/destination Ceuta, Melilla, Balearics and the Canaries, with stopover of less than 12 hours: 50%

Trips with stopovers:
The discount is also applied for being resident in the communities of the Balearics, Ceuta, Melilla and the Canaries when the destination or origin is one of these regions and the trip includes a stopover of less than 12 hours (except for technical necessities or causes of force majeure). In addition to the usual documentation, a photocopy of the plane or boat ticket from the earlier/later journey must be presented.
Example: Passenger resident in the Canaries travelling on the Dénia-Palma route whose arrival on the Mainland was during the 12 hours prior to the departure of the ferry.
